With all the incredible adventure of tour there is one thing I will surely not miss. That is cramming 8 suitcases, 2 guitars, and of course all the girl’s spare shopping bags (jk) into a european sized car. If you could imagine trying to put an elephant into a refrigerator, its pretty much the same comparison. Every time we show up to a new place, it feels as if the USA circus team has arrived. And somehow between cutting off all our air supply, and being some sort of contortionist, we manage to get all of our stuff to each destination.
So this is the last few days of tour. There are some incredible things that have happened over this last week including a tour stop at a place called Frizon. We played with band such as Immanu EL, and Anberlin. On a side note, Anberlin’s keyboard broke and they asked to borrow mine! This also made it possible for me to talk about Redeem the Shadows to the band.
On the festival we had the chance to speak on a talk show to a crowd of 1,000+ people about the injustices of slavery, we also spoke on a christian fm station, and we played a show with an incredible response. We made incredible contacts at this festival including doctors, festival managers, missionaries, and just people willing to get involved. To recap the whole tour, we’ve been on 3 FM radio stations, spoke to thousands of people about slavery, and shared Christ’s love with everyone we can. This tour and last week was the best we could possibly imagine for partnering with Redeem the Shadows. We even were requested to sing the USA national anthem for 1000+ people at a soccer game.
There are some big plans ahead and plenty of invites back for next year. I think one of the central things we learn on a tour like this is that God is alive and moving amongst our generation. If anyone has doubts to where the future of the world is going, we would encourage people to look to Christ and how He is raising up a remnant to stand courageously for Him. Thank you for all your prayer and support during this tour. We hope that you can share in our success, because you have been a major part. It takes people like you to help us continue on this path in future support and prayer. It’s been an incredible journey and we will soon be home, but this is only the beginning of bigger things to come.
With Love,
Noel Thomas AOH
