From Mercer College to Samford University, the RTS tour continues! This is my first birthday on the road, I’ve been practicing for this moment by spending the last four 4th of July’s on the road. In an effort to combine a psuedo 4th of July and celebrate my birthday, I’ve come to the conclusion that this birthday will not be complete until dozens of bottle rockets have been fired off to a dubstep mashup of America the Beautiful and Happy Birthday.
I am 25 years old today in Jackson Mississippi, a quarter of a century. (Wow that sounds old, I think I may have found a wrinkle) It’s a real blessing to have lived this long. In perspective, the first 25 years of my life seemed to go by so fast. It seems like only yesterday I was taking my first steps on Stuart beach. The Lord reminds us that our lives are a mere vapor. We are not assured our next breathe, but we are assured security in the will of God.
Our lives were meant for so much more than to be wasted on meaningless things. It is amazing what can be done for God’s kingdom when we are obedient. I am so thankful to be a vessel of freedom to others because I know that Christ came to set me free.
What will you do with your vapor?
