We wake up today in Lakeland, Florida to 30 degree weather, and realize we are slightly unprepared for the frigid conditions we will be facing all too soon as we head further north on our adventure. But we are excited, maybe we will see snow! Which makes the freezing cold weather almost worth it!

Last night we had the privilege to speak to the youth group at Mulberry Assemblies of God Church, and we were so blessed by the passion and enthusiasm we encountered in the students, and also the hospitality of the family that so graciously hosted us for the night! Thanks so much to Tiffany Belbin for her hep and connection there. God is opening the hearts of the so many to the message and vision we share and they are answering the call to take ACTION against the injustices of slavery and trafficking.  He is raising up a mighty army of abolitionists that WILL stand up against this evil and present darkness and fight!

Our God is a God of FREEDOM and we declare that, live by that. We will passionately and unceasingly “proclaim liberty to the captives.” (Luke 4:18)

Tuesday was National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Tasha Davis and I drove down to Boca Raton to Florida Atlantic University to connect with the InterVasity Student Fellowship. We got work with Deb Kusick, a powerful woman of God and international missionary, who was an amazing encouragment! We set up tables right on the breezeway where all the students were passing, and were able to reach over 500 students in only a few hours, passing out bright orange ribbons and engaging them in conversation. Also, we put together a live demonstration where we tied a young girl wrapped in a bloody sheet to a post and put a for sale sign next to her. It really impacted the students and even faculty walking by and it was very successful drawing attention and concern and awareness. We actually got the cops called on us, who came to investigate what was really going on. With God’s grace, we were able to make a serious impact on the campus at FAU!

Here are some pictures from our eventful day
